Welcome to Litguide, OCSB.

Everything you need to get going, on one page. Find your role, follow a few short guides, and book a session if you want us to walk you through it. Nothing here needs a login to read.

New to Litguide? Here is the whole thing in three steps.

1
Students work through lessons

Reading, vocabulary, grammar and writing.

2
You decide what opens, and when

Nothing is visible until you release it.

3
Writing comes back marked

Marked on Conventions and Topic Development.

02New this year
New this year

Elementary joins this year, and access is unlimited.

Unlimited

Elementary is in, Grades 7 to 12.

OCSB is bringing Litguide into elementary for the first time, with a booklet written for younger readers. Access is unlimited for Grades 7 to 12, so nobody is counting seats.

Grades 7 to 12No seat limitsAll year
Two booklets cover it
Grades 7 to 8

Literacy Foundations

30 lessons

Written for younger readers coming up into secondary literacy. This is the booklet your elementary classes will use.

Appears as OSSLT Booster in the platform until the rename goes live.

Grades 9 to 12

OSSLT Fundamentals

36 lessons

The full OSSLT booklet your teachers already know. Also the right fit for adult learners and previously eligible students.

The grade ranges are a guide, not a rule.

03Getting started

Pick the one that sounds like you.

Three short paths. You only need to read yours, and it takes about ten minutes.

You decide what your class works on and when. Open the lessons you want, see who is struggling, and mark their writing right in the platform. That is the whole job.
Your short guides

A few minutes each. Go in order the first time, then come back to whichever one you need.

School admins can teach too

Right now a school admin and a teacher are separate accounts. We are making it one, so a principal, VP or SST can run their own classroom without a second login.
